Technology Landscape for Digital Identification

The World Bank's Identification for Development (ID4D) Group released the Technology Landscape for Digital Identification, an overview of the current landscape for digital identification and a framework for assessing emerging approaches.

The report notes that Mobile ID is "increasingly emerging as a preferred choice for implementing digital ID systems." Among other authentication and identification technologies, the report highlights key trends in mobile solutions, with Element's mobile software-only approach to adult and infant biometrics as an example.
